Unlike Parent & Community Advisory Board members who are interviewed and appointed, 

Baltimore City Public School guardians and community members are invited to join a committee.

Our Committees:

Budget Committee supports opportunities for public discussion regarding 

both the Baltimore City Schools’ district-level budget and individual school budgets.

Communications Committee promotes PCAB events and initiatives on 

PCAB’s website and through our social media channels.

Family & Community Engagement Committee works to increase engagement of families and 

community members with PCAB, their school, and the district. 

Policy Committee fights for equity and accountability of Baltimore City Schools in 

both its policies and how they are implemented. 

Teaching & Learning Committee provides families with educational opportunities to ensure 

equitable access to academic data and strategies to support student achievement.
